Say hello to Shannon Mullane! She is one of the speakers for the “Dispelling Water Management Misconceptions” session at the 2025 CRWUA Conference at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
She writes about the Colorado River Basin and Western water issues for The Colorado Sun. She frequently covers water news related to Western tribes, Western Slope and Colorado with an eye on issues related to resource management, the environment and equity. Born in East Tennessee, Shannon has been in Colorado for over a decade and is based in Durango in southwest Colorado. She has contributed reporting and/or photography to The Colorado Sun, High Country News, The Salt Lake Tribune, ProPublica, Colorado Independent, The Durango Herald and Collective Colorado. She has received over 20 journalism awards for her work.
