Shanti Rosset – Metropolitan Water District of Southern California

Shanti Rosset

Say hello to Shanti Rosset. She began working at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California in 2017, where she played a leading role in developing the Drought Contingency Plan agreements and federal legislation. Before that, Ms. Rosset served as an Assistant Attorney General representing the State of Colorado in the state’s Colorado River entitlement. Aspects of that work included interstate, federal, tribal, intrastate and matters related to the US Mexico Treaty. Ms. Rosset worked on water rights and property matters in private practice in on the West Slope in Colorado. And also served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Arizona Attorney General’s Office where she represented the Arizona State Land Department’s water rights associated with the state’s nearly 10 million acres of state trust land. Ms. Rosset began her work in natural resource policy matters while serving as committee staff at the Arizona State Senate.

Ms. Rosset earned a B.A. from the University of Arizona, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
