Nisha Noroian was born and raised in Blythe, CA. Her dad and namesake, Nish Noroian, came to the Palo Verde Valley in 1948, establishing Nish Noroian Farms. He was attracted by its senior Colorado River water rights and grew mostly lettuce, melons, and squash as well alfalfa, cotton, and wheat.
Nisha graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Degree in Agriculture Business. She then attended law school at Arizona State University. Her dad told her that if she wanted to be a farmer, she needed to be a lawyer first!
Throughout her various educational experiences, Nisha has taken every opportunity to learn and educate herself in farming, agriculture, and western water rights, with the goal of continuing her family farm’s legacy.
Currently, Nisha is the Managing Director of Nish Noroian Farms and helps oversee the day-to-day operations along with her mom, Linda Noroian.
Nisha was elected to the Palo Verde Irrigation District Board of Trustees in 2022.
