Glen Peterson (Trustee from California Delegation)
Represents on MWD board: Las Virgenes Municipal Water District

Water industry affiliations:
Peterson is president of Las Virgenes Municipal Water District’s board and has served as Division 2 director since 1986. He is the past president of ACWA, having served from 2008 – 2009 and is past chair for the Federal Affairs Committee. Peterson is also chair of ACWA’s Building Committee.
He is on the Colorado River Board of California representing MWD, appointed by the Governor. Member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado River’s User Association representing California.
Professional and community activities:
Peterson owned his own real estate company, Cornell Realty, from 1983 – 1998. He served as director/treasurer of the Mountains Conservancy Foundation, as well as treasurer of the Agoura Community Center Foundation. Additionally, he is a former trustee of the Conejo Future Foundation and past president of Las Virgenes Homeowners Federation. He participated in the Agoura Hills Rotary and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Peterson is the founder of the Friends of Peter Strauss Ranch.
He was also awarded the Public Health Appreciation Award from the California Dept. of Health Services for his work in fluoridation. He is an award-winning grape grower and vintner in Agoura, California. Peterson lives with his spouse, Oscar Castellanos, a partner for over 20 years.
