Jackie Brown – Policy Advisor, Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association

Say hello to Jackie Brown. She works as Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association’s water and natural resources policy advisor, where she works on legislation and policy on both a federal and four-state level relevant to hydropower, generation assets and responsible stewardship of Tri-State’s water portfolio. Tri-State is a not-for-profit wholesale electric power provider serving 45 members and over a million customers on 5,793 miles of transmission in Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico and Wyoming with a varied generation portfolio inclusive of wind, solar, hydropower, coal and natural gas. She is on her second term as Governor Polis’s appointment to the Colorado Water Conservation Board as the Yampa and White River Basin Director and serves as the chairwoman. She also serves as the energy director on the Colorado Water Congress board and is the current chair of The Yampa River Fund. Jackie is finishing her master’s degree in Law/ Alternate Dispute Resolution. She lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and enjoys exploring mountains, deserts and rivers, and spending time with her 11-year-old son and two large dogs.
